How these are chosen
Etsy already indexes every word in your title, so a tag that repeats it adds no new reach. This tool pulls the specific words out of your own description — material, technique, colour, style — then fills the rest of the slots across the angles a title rarely covers: who the item is for, the occasion or room it belongs to, and the way a shopper might phrase the search differently. Multi-word phrases are preferred over single words, because "coffee lover gift" competes with far less than "mug". The full reasoning is here.
